Meet the GIRLS!!
We are four crazily obnoxious smart and classy ladies who have an obsession with books.
What can I say, I like to read books. A lot. So much so, that my husband and children constantly have to remind me of their names and position in the family (I have a habit of confusing them with literary characters). I also tend to have a droll sense of humor that leans a bit on the dry side. One should never take me serious unless I’m sporting my “serious” magnum face.
brass tacks: I am a soccer playing librarian who has a phobia to cockroaches. Just typing the word cockroaches makes me want to gag.
Books make me happy. Great books *wink wink* make me ecstatic. I’m a giggling and sarcastic kind of gal who brings the fun to parties. I like sushi, the color pink, and making silly videos. Oh, and talking. I love to talk. It’s my favorite.
In a former life I was an aircraft interior designer, now I am a stay at home mom who is never home. My life revolves around my family, PTA meetings, Cub and Girl Scout meetings, and reading! My two wonderful kids love to read also, and we share books and read together often. As a child, reading was my outlet, my escape, my passion … and as an adult it is also now my ”me” time. I read … a lot. Me, me, me!
I have b
een a high school English teacher for the last twelve years and one of my favorite parts of the job is matching my students with books that speak to them, so they too can learn/deepen their joy of reading (yeah reading!!). I have to be well read to make this magic happen; however, I do not often sit down, so I listen to books while driving, cooking, cleaning, etc. I also love great vocabulary, fun necklaces, the environment, and meeting YA authors (in addition to loving my hubby and son of course).
