Y’ALL. The beloved Blue Bloods series has finally come to a close, Gates of Paradise has released. While we’re sniffling over the loss of future Schuyler and Jack feels, read below the interview with Melissa and find out a few of her favorite memories from the series.

Gates of Paradise is finally out for Blue Bloods fans to devour, how does it feel wrapping a huge series that so many have come to love?
I feel really calm about it, I think the fans will really enjoy it. It’s a huge emotional journey, but a satisfying one. I’m sad it’s the end, but there are new beginnings on the horizon, so I’m happy about that. More than anything, I’m just really grateful to all my readers, who have been so devoted over the years.
We’re drooling over the Blue Bloods graphic novel, which we think only enhances the series even more, talk to us about that – are there more planned?
Not at the moment. But yes, isn’t it GORGEOUS??
Please tell us what YA readers can look forward to from you, any more spin offs?
There will be an announcement about a new Blue Bloods series soon!
Also my new sci-fi/fantasy series, Heart of Dread, the first book FROZEN comes out Sept 2013. It’s an epic tale of a girl and a boy, she’s a blackjack dealer and he’s a mercenary from New Vegas, a city covered in ice, and their journey through the dark waters of the Pacific in search of a mythical land called The Blue. It’s a romantic, fantasy adventure, with slavers, scavengers, dark magic, peril and love. I’m utterly obsessed with it right now!
I also have an epic fantasy saga coming out in 2014 called THE COURT OF THE LAST PRINCESS, it’s like Blue Bloods, soapy, tragic, political, with a huge cast of characters.
Witches of East End series – the third book WINDS OF SALEM comes out in October 2013!
BLUE BLOODS LIGHTING ROUND!! *insert lighting crack here*

When Mimi breaks open the lock to Charles’s study. (I had no idea she was that powerful!) Sky and Ollie at the Informals Ball. The party at Hotel Lambert. Hiking the Cinque Terre. Mimi and Kingsley in Rio. The New Year’s Eve streaking scene in the last book.
Bliss or Schuyler - BOTH!

I'm sad that this series is coming to a close, but the new works that Melissa has up her sleeves sounds amazing (and hopefully even better)!
I really enjoy this book. Keeps me interested, don’t want to take my eyes off! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series
