It’s official! Lisa McMann’s Wake Trilogy is likely to be made into a movie. Paramount Pictures and MTV Films have picked up the film rights. Miley Cyrus is considering the lead character, Janie who gets sucked into dreams.
What do I wonder about all of this? I’ll tell you. Who is going to play the ultra awesome, gorgeous Cabe?

IMO, Both Janie and Cabel should both be really casted as leser known actors. and I mean Cabel should have had a few minor roles- no one you’d remember although great actor- and Janie idk I pictured her as like not even SAG certified… Actually if you must have big names I think it would be great so long as they’re SECONDARY characters.

No Miley, no movie at all, dumbasses. Maybe some of you should get out of the stacks and learn how the movie industry works. Or better yet, go to hollywood and get suckered into putting your life savings into one of the many movie’s that will lose money. Miley’s movies have always made money for everyone involved, and I don’t imagine that changing anytime soon.
@Mfan – While I don’t care for being called a dumbass, I am not in the movie industry and you are probably right about making money. Since I don’t make any money on this site, spend my money on books, and only care about the characters in the books, I want the right fit for the role.

Sheesh there’s no reason to go around calling any of the girls that run this blog or anyone else a dumbass because they may or may not want Miley for a roll. OBVIOUSLY none of us have a say in it, but it doesn’t mean we can’t discuss who’d we like or NOT like to see playing some of our favorite characters. These blogs are made for fun. Honestly I don’t want Miley Cyrus to play the part, and that’s only because Miley just doesn’t fit the part to me. Also yes I do think that this movie should be made with fresh faces, but if that doesn’t happen and it ends up being Miley I will still watch it, but very disappointed!
