While we all didn’t agree on the greatness of the book, we did agree that the cover is HOT!

Today we bring you The Summoning, the first book in the Darkest Powers series by Kelley Armstrong. There are several things in which we all agreed one being the book was surprisingly good.

We talked womanhood, acne, Nightmare on Elm Street and a bunch of other stuff.

What happens when you get five ladies together to talk about one alien filled book? You get one laugh filled, crossover podcast with lounge ladies Kim and Shannon from Mystical Lit Lounge. We like to call it the “GIRLS IN THE LOUNGE” edition. Cool name, eh?

I Am Number Four – -> *scream*

Okay, so it isn’t exactly that kind of a scream book. But it is good, despite all the negative things I kept talking about. Bottom line we talked about the book, the upcoming movie, Twilight (doesn’t everything always come back to Twilight??) and yes, even Mockingjay.

I know we say this all the time, but we laughed our heads off on this one.

Twenties Girl is amusing in only the way a smart book can be, LAUGH OUT LOUD funny! Seriously, this book is hilarious. We also said funny way too many times. Anyone want to supply us with a new word?

WE LOVED IT! I think this is our favorite book so far in the series…guess we’ll find out Tuesday!!

Again, we could have talked forever and dissected everything, but we didn’t. So we hit the high points from President Snow all the way down to the cliffhanger ending. Of course we talked Gale and Peeta too and all that kissing!

Gills sophomore novel does not disappoint. It is witty, smart and just plain fun. We were literally lol-ing while reading (and some while we were talking).

The green type, the cover! We loved it. Though we didn’t talk about that…What we did talk about was the four person POV, Sam and Grace, Cole and Isabel and (ugh!) Grace’s parents. The BIG questions is, did we agree? On a rating? You know, on how much we loved it?

These books are like candy to us. We gobble them up quickly, wanting more when we are done. While this is not the best book in the series (we still loved it though), it is important. We see it as a set-up for things to come, and really just a breather for Sookie too.
