Why do we love this book so much? Could it be Dylan, or the fact that the book is so real it makes you want to cry, or was it the cover??

Our teen reviewer Riyanna (isn’t she cute?) talks with YA author Susane Colasanti at the Austin Teen Book Festival. Susane is crazy fun, really she is. Below is just a small sample of her crazy fun-ness, for more you will have to read her blog.

In this well produced (haha) video Susane talks about her book Take Me There, living in the West Village and maybe shares a story about an encounter with her famous neighbor, coughKieferSutherlandcough.

Shannan and I (along with a couple of friends) recently had the pleasure of meeting Carolee Dean, author of Take Me There, at one of our favorite books store, Legacy Books in Plano, Texas. Let’s see…we talked books, Texas things like the Prison Rodeo at the Walls Unit (who knew??) and more specifically we talked about Take Me There. (We hearted the book, read Stacy’s review and listen to our podcast)

We also had fun. Lots of fun. In this first video Carolee made an intro for us, as well she showed off her kickin’ cowboy boots.

A couple of days ago we had the pleasure of meeting and talking with debut novelist Caorlee Dean and of course we talked about her new book, Take Me There. We even got to sign her ROCKIN boots!
